Hi guyz!
I played the game (german version)allready for several times and i am asking myself for the differences between the both versions.
I mean in the USA you are even not allowed to say words like this or talk about drugs.
So my questions are:
Do you have joints in the swamp/sect camp?
Are you able to smoke them? ;-D
Do you have waterpipes there?
Is there a quest in the new camp, where you can deal with this stuff and earn money?
Is the game for adults (above 18 yo) ?

Thanks a lot and have fun with this wonderful game!!!

The thing about the game being for adults IMO is yes only because of the violence.

The US Version has a teen rating which baffles me. I thought any game in the US that dealt with alcohol or tobacco automatically was supposed to get a Mature rating.

While I realize its not tobacco that they are using in the game, numerous characters are smoking and you can use the water pipes. So, maybe you could make a case for no tobacco in the game.

However, you can pick up beer and rice schnapps. If that isn't alcohol, I don't know what is. Anybody into NASCAR sims, knows they remove the beer advertisements from the cars (Bud, Coors, & Miller Lite) and replace them with the drivers names (Dale Earnhardt Jr, Sterlin Marlin, & Rusty Wallace). They even remove the Winston Cup Series banners from the tracks as Winston is a cigarette brand. This is all done to get a Teen (T) rating.

I really think somebody at the ERSB really dropped the ball on this one.

Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale both had alcohol usage in them.

Mature ratings are given when the violence has excessive gore.

Considering you can watch a PG-13 movie and have a slew of cuss words, drug and alcohol use and general violence, the rating for this game makes a whole lot of sense. Hell, you can even have nudity in PG-13 movies...

The violence level is the major factor.

As long as there isnt anti-christianity, or nudity, or bad words, it will never have a higher rating than teen in USA

Even if the game is gory as hell and contains lots of drugs )

Might be my opinions thou, im a swede. =)

Best Regards

Nevermind.

It is the 'E' for everyone ranking that you'll lose if you have alcohol or tobacco use in a game.
