| German version into English |

ello all 
im getting the german version of gothic (cause its the only one i can get) and i was wondering is there anyway to make the text and stuff in English?

I am sure the english version will be out in Australia within 2 months or so...you would miss several hours of speech recordings if you just hacked english text into the game |

You could do the same with the real game, as with the demo, of course, but you'd miss the speech, and the translation would be so bad you'd probably miss parts of the story.
But IF somebody has already ordered the German version, the auto-translation is the only way to understand anything.. |

I see you live in Australia.. if I'm not badly misstaken you should be able to find somebody speaking German down there able to help you through the dialouges.. get a friend who speaks German, or get in touch with somebody on MSN or something who can translate.. |

heh i can actually speak german myself just not very well but my mum speaks it fluently so ill get her to help me and thats y its gonna be in german cause my mum bought the game for me when she was in germany

Tja dazu kann ich nur sagen lernt mal zur abwechslung deutsch,
wir Deutsche zocken ja auch englischsprachige Spiele (z.B. Morrowind) geht alles ohne Probleme und Gothic 2 rulez |
