How can I kill the war drummer with my level 6 person?

How can i kill the war drummer? He won't die, and he won't chase me up to the knite. Why dose he stop chashing me, turn green then run away.
I am the female magiction. I'm on level 6. HELP!
P.S. Thanks for helping my other problems.

How are you trying to kill him?

Previous threads (in the spoiler section) have suggested poison and freezing as possible answers.

My fighter type just wailed on the drummer until it finally attacked back. Later (with a high level of stun, and doing much more damage per attack) they usually die with one or two blows.

Well, I'd say that if you can't kill it but it stops chasing you, then just ignore it for now. Later you will be much more powerful, and be able to just blast it.

Anyone else have any good suggestions?

Take your sword or any other good weapon. Freeze him and hit him with the weapon. When he's unfrozen, imediately freeze hime again before he regenerates and keep on hitting him with your sword.

Assuming the freeze spell is 100% effective, I'd say that qualifies as a good alternative
