I liked the Godfather movies, never played a related game. I didn't even play the demo of this game. Perhaps I could do that if I find it.

Mafia was one of the best games I ever played, it was beautiful, pretty hard, excellent music and a fantastic feeling! If I would rate it I would give it 9.5, or maybe 9, out of 10.

I think the hardest part was the race you had to win, the other parts of the game wasn't too hard if you figured out how to do it.

Played the demo version. It seemed like a reasonable game, but I had trouble aiming. I would vote yes if I could revote.

I definitely preferred vice city.

The graphics of mafia were outstanding though.

That is absolutely right, until i found the patch where could set the difficulty rating at the beginning of the race mission, and it became quite easy

Mafia was/is a great game. I finished it too. I agree with Toaster and Bytespawn that the race was the hardest part.

Yesm the race is quite hard, i had been trying for 2 or 3 hours when i could finished it. But i was stuck later on. I have to infiltrate someone's manor, i think, and stole something from a safe.

I also struggled for 2 hours with that race! Anti-spin systems wasn't really popular back then, it seemed like. Otherwise I think the high difficulty was one of the things that made the game so extremely enjoyable.

Vice City came a lot later. I also liked it better, but Mafia was a lot better than the original GTA 3. At least it made me play it much more (few hours more) than GTA 3.
Anyway, I am really not much into 3rd persons (at least not into this type), and I didn't finish all of the 3. I left GTA 3 and Mafia really in the beginning, and Vice City around in the middle ...
Anyway, I liked the first 3 GTAs best ... (i mean GTA, the GTA expansion, and GTA 2)
