But they can make good orcs, snappers(and wolves they don't have to make it but it can be good) and creatures like these. If they can't make sth. really good they have to throw it out. And the main character.... I don't know, maybe Mel Gibson?.?

Ok my man I think scavengers must by in movie, because they are the most loved monsters, and by the way they look very fancy in gothic3.
And its a good post about gothic movie well done
don't listen to such persons like "piln" he talks too mutch, aaa let's say more polite nonsense .And gothic games as I sad and keep saying are very popular all around the world so the movie will be wellcomed. It has a great script so it will fit the tastes of any movie gurman.

Oh i think you're as polite as you have to. And thanks for it i just want to see a film abaut gothic, so i'm working on it. And if you want to know i think that they really have to start with gothic 1 so everybody understand what is all abaut. And what do you think? I think they should focus the swamp camp. NO?
everything is abaut it in the beginning, and when Y'berrion dies, Cor Angar sent you to the water mages.

And abaut the scavangers, i said if they can solve this they can put a lot of scavangers into the movie, cuz my favuorit is the scavanger and the molerat. They are so nice and funny. (and sometimes so fool )

There would also have to be some girls in the game but they would be slaves or whores like in gothic 1 the two girls at the temple with the round asses haha we need those in the movie and alot of abuse to women to get the gothic feeling lmao

Unfortunately, piln is absolutely right about the movie making business and Uwe Boll.

I'd love to see an animated film of Gothic (not anime, you mind). I've seen some of the Street Fighter animes, they had atmosphere and the characters were made well. There is even a Gothic comicbook, so my idea isn't that absurd. A series would be nice, but only as a spin-off (about the four friends, e.g.).
The cartoon should be naturalistic, but with a touch of surrealism. You know what I mean?

Yes if there won't be a movie maybe the cartoon is enough. Are you talking abaut this?

No, I talked about the style.
I wouldn't see an animated film as an inferior solution, because I love animated films (at least some of them).

PS: It's "about", not "abaut".

Yeah!

And next time someone talks smack about me, my bodyguard Jaz will come to your house and flush your dog's head down the toilet!
(kidding, guys, just kidding)
Just out of curiosity, though: would you rather see no Gothic film at all, or a Gothic film by Uwe Boll? If those were your only two options, what would you choose?

Okayyyyyyy... I think I'm in the wrong thread. Good luck with the movies, and Paul999999, check out this excellent film. I think you'd like it a lot. Well, parts of it , anyway.

If Uwe Boll makes a Gothic movie it will include: Explosions, women and if possible automatic crossbows that shoot infernally burning arrows.

haha i was kidding but really if they made a movie based on the first game they would have to make it in the perfect gothic setting.

Women were treated poorly sent down as slaves and probably got raped or beat who knows also alot of bad evil characters in the game but also alot of cool people diego so it would be a nice mix would be nice if they really made a movie but really capture the dirty gothic feeling with the wonderful characters good and evil.

For example if they made the movie they should make a part later in the movie where the main hero fights the guy that punchs him in the face when thrown down

Just saw Doom-the movie- last night. It was really good in my opinion. So it is possible to make a good movie from a good game if the producers choose the right director, actors that CAN act, and respect the athmosphere of the game to some extend.
Of course it was easier with Doom cause the game doesn't have a solid story so the storywriters had the possibility to tweak the story so that a good movie was possible without giving the impression that the game was totally forgotten
