Real Estate in Morrowind?

In Daggerfall one could eventually buy one's own mansion in inner-city Wayrest to retire to once that faraway dungeon has been cleaned out or that precious jewel has been lifted from the palace down the street. Can you purchase houses in Morrowind? I haven't seen anyone discuss anything about this topic in the forums (or maybe I just missed it?). I would assume that with Morrowind's exponentially better engine and more robust item manipulation, you can really make that home your own, and customize it far more than was possible in Daggerfall.

Anyone bought and/or used a house yet?

You can’t buy a house or castle. But you can make one through the TES Construction set. Find your Favorite location…then go into TES and make the plugin for it. I posted a message on this topic a couple days back. Please see “Build your dream home in Morrowind.”

Let us know what, and where.

Mitch.

Look into Morrowind plug-in and plug-in depot forums for more info.
There are already several prepared houses for you .

If you advance high enough through one of the houses, you get your own house to live in.

Property also becomes "available" through quests. You arent awarded it specifically but if you are assigned a mission to eliminate its resident or the resident vacates for some reason you can move right in. The game saves all the changes you make and viola! your own place.
