System Shock 2: Retrospective Video Interview @ GameSpot

GameSpot has put up a video interview with Irrational's Ken Levine as they look back on the creation of the company's classic, 'System Shock II'.

This is no mere retrospective! The article mentions that tomorrow (Friday), Irrational will be making a big announcement that is somehow related to System Shock 2.

That's right, one of the most-anticipated computer games of all time, System Shock 3, is on the way. So guesses me.

Well, I would be a bit surprised if EA wanted to pursue SS3 (or release the rights for someone else to do it) but the article certainly hints at it in a big way...if it isn't SS3 it certainly looks like a spiritual successor. Can't wait!

Woo!

Man, I hope that's true! I just went back and replayed SS2 a month or two ago, and it's still probably the best thing I've played all year.

OMFG!!! I can't wait!!!

First Oblivion is announced, and now this! God, I hope I can make enough money for that computer upgrade...

Btw, lets hope they are using the Doom 3 engine. Realistic shadowing all the way, baby!!

SS3! But no DOOM3 engine please, I don't want to have to upgrade till late next year (yes, I can't play DOOM3 smoothly )
