ok...what is it used for? you can buy it at the equipment emporium on taris and it is bugging me....i saw that the transformer in the sith base where you fight the assaut droid is usuable so i figured you use it to blow up the sith base but no dice. so if anybody knows what it can be used for can you please tell me?

It's used for...

one of the bounties, if you don't want to actually kill the person. You can arrange to have their death faked so they go free and you collect the bounty.
