Combat Controls Question (Gothic II Player Here...) |
|
I finished GII over a year ago and I finally fired up Gothic I and started messing around.
I'm using the "alternate" system that seems to be equivalent to GII roughly, but there is a twist in combat.
If I recall, you can strafe and swing in GII? Here it seems I have to stop to swing the sword? How does that work??? I got so used to letting Orcs and other creatures commit their swing/bite and then dodge and hit them in the side. I'm guessing that is no longer possible or was Gothic II the same way? I finished it a year ago so maybe its just me. _________________ "For Innos!" |

there's not so much of a parry in gothic, rely on strenght, and be the one to strike first, that's the only way to succses in that game I think. _________________ "We're still flying"

I play with keyboard controls only. After playing a short time you'll get the hang of it and IMHO it is the best controls to use.
You can certainly parry, just block then swing. _________________ Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?
