Um... is it safe to assume that you've played the motivation behind The Fall (i.e. Fallout and Fallout 2)?

The short answer is post-apoc begins and ends with Fallout/Fallout 2 (Wasteland aside). The Fall should be reasonably good when it's released in English (one day..) but every other project (Shadow Vault, Metal Heart...) has been crap.

Fallout: Tactics wasn't too bad. As long as you don't expect an amazing RPG when you play it and just have fun instead.

Was Metalheart really that bad? Why was it so bad?

To quote my own 2/5 review:
quote:
If this is what a 2005 follow-up to Fallout looks like, there probably won't be another.

Perhaps that sounds harsh? But this game, while having many positive attributes, just isn't fun. Movement is painfully slow. Minutes to cross a region isn't out of the question, and when you get a quest that makes you go through three regions and back you have at least a 30 minute quest. Pretty much all are simple, one-dimensional Fed Ex™ tasks where you deliver an item, collect an item, or kill someone. It's all a recipe for a drab and boring game.

Which you can find here.

Mike

"Since the engine update for the US version of The Fall is done, we decided to release some new screenshots:"

Ok the game is finished, the addon is finished, the editor is finished and engine updated 45 days ago.
Where the hell is the game, not that I am impatient or anything.

They must be adding everthing into one package for the English version and selling as one game?

The English release is supposed to be v2.0+ - the German release of v1.9 was not that long ago, so I guess they might still have a little to do. It's hard to know anything firm when they still haven't revealed the publisher.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

Germans are not good with english. My bet is they are still studying the dictionary.
Engine updates, addons and editors just serve as a cover up.
