I decided to walk to Tel Mora accross the top of the world.
Everyone I see attacks me no one likes me and everything wants to eat me. My hammers are gone and my armor and weapons are wearing out.
Please send the navy seals to help me.
Sincerly

I got lost in a sandstorm around that area, it was the scariest 30 minutes of my game-playing life for sure. |

When I went north of caldera there was a female merchant who asked me to escort her to a city west of caldera on the waterfront(don't remember the name) and she would give me her Light speed boots(can't remember the exact name of the boots but they increase your speed 200 points when wearing them) and just before we got there she ran off and didn't give me the boots. So I loaded a saved game just before and killed her and took them. I was wounded pretty badly and could not rest because there were so many enemies around. I put the boots on but they make you really blind and everything is real dark especially at night. I ran real fast through the woods with things chasing and sometimes attacking me. I had a hell of a time finding my way to a city, was actually kind of scary , maybe I am just a puss but it was at 3am in the morning. LOL! |

Ah, Talman, looks like you found the "Boots of Blinding Speed" that one of the designers put in the game as a joke. Makes you really really fast. Also makes you blind. The guy who made it outlined a strategy for their use which was something like this: Point yourself in the right direction. Put on the boots. Run like hell until you don't hear anything attacking you anymore. |

Y'know if you're playing as a character that's resistant to magic, you can wear the boots without going blind, right? |

I guess another joke is the scrolls of Icarian Flight you find...that cracks me up, one jump with that scroll and you go flying through the air, only to die when you land. I did jump from Scyda Neen to Balmora, that's not bad! |

I allmost managed to stay alive when i used the scroll in the starting village's dock. Ended up really far from the beach, though =). Managed to swim to a small rock before those nasty fishes killed me. Jumping back, now that was another thing (I swear I didn't see that forest) ouch... |

I can see fine in the daytime with the boots, my buddy can't though, I think it is maybe gamma and monitor settings. Also when you swim with the boots on you are a virtual speed boat with rooster tails pratically blowing out the back end! No fish will get you then! |

Location: A chair, possibly in a cave. I haven't checked. |
I've turned icarian flight into an art. Just ready some levitating device (sword, boots etc). Can't be a spell or scroll, those activate too slowly. Click the button right before you go splat, instant stop. Luckily, inertia seems to not matter at all in this game.
For those who are more daring, I reccomend doing this over a pit of snapping mudcrabs. Big pits are easier to aim for.
Note that the first time I tried icarian scrolls, I "found" pelagiad, which I'd never seen before. And the guards found a sudden stain on their battlement walls... _________________ Great minds don't think alike, they think creatively. |

another thing for the flight is slowfall......one of my scariest moments was inside the ghost gate in a blight storm, my armour was almost gone and my weapon was shattered, there where zombies all around and i had no interventoin scrolls.......... INCARNA FLIGHT to the rescue!....I made my way to a ghost fence and lept....i hit the little roof and stay there for a sec then moved away and landed ontop of the fence. I found a nice high hill and hopped down then hoofed it to Ald-Ruhn. I've never been anywhere without a intervention snice |
