The ending

I found it strange that one had to destroy the mithallar in order to kill the boss. In the previous chapters, all babbled how it shouldn't be harmed or it would wipe out a large piece of its sorroundings(I got the impression it was a nuke). Or alternatively they said TO destroy it if need be.

So I don't get the ending. One destroys the mithallar - shouldn't there be a *BANG* and everyone dead?

I think she devided the mythallar, so it can't hurt anyone (it's strange, cause she's "tottaly evil", but it's the only explanation I could find).

Also She could be afraid of you so she "unnuked" it...

Even Stranger! If an artifact is divided it looses some of it's power(entropy...), so I don't know why she would want to do that. And to get the pieces she did have to destroy the mithallar in a manner of speaking(breaking it into shards).BUM! no BUM! So she couldn't un-nuke it - she would have to have greater power than the mithallar then and wouldn't need it than anyway.

She could use it to power herself , and so the mythallar could lose its power.

Yeah, but she would STILL need to BREAK it!

I think after it lost its power she could destroy it without any explosion to hide each part of it (so she would be invulnerable) but she wasn't quick enough before you got there.

That's better. But there's another thing. If she absorbed all of it's power, then the city would crash and she would have left before that.
If she didn't, she would need to keep it whole(probably, or all the parts) in the city, or it would, again, drop down-destroying the mithallar. So she could only take it with herself and leave before the crash. So why did she divide it? Isn't it safest to have the stone with her(being invicible and all) and leaving?

Anyway, if she succeded, one day she would just slip into Limbo.

This is because the developers needed to make the final battle not like any normal one, so they did something different.

Also when you see the journal you can see that they wrote there: "CRAZED BY HER POWER", so all this may be because of her craziness .

P.S.I think, the best thing is to send an E-mail to the developers and ask them.

Edit: Also when you kill her, the city falls. So, maybe it depended on her power.
