RPGDot Game of the Year Contest 2003

For the third year in a row we bring you the Game of the Year contest. Like in previous years it's not us but YOU who will determine what game will win in what category.
This year we've separated the RPGs from the MMORPGs which adds a few questions to the total.

After the last question you can add your e-mail address, after which you might win one of our prizes (which prizes that will be, will be announced at a later stage). Don't worry we are not using your e-mail address for anything else but this

Click here to go to the contest.

2003 was awful for rpgs for pc. I hope 2004 is better since I just upgraded my pc. If it isn't I am going to have to buy a console.

Yeah I aint the biggest fan of 2003 rpgs.
The only ones I liked were gothic 2, KotOR and maybe TToEE.

It was a pretty bad year. TOEE, Lionheart and Pirates of the Carribean were awful.

As fpr the poll, what's with putting Fallout 3 under dream project. It's pretty much confirmed that it will be released next year. I put it down as my most anticipated RPG for 2004.

Yup - FO 3 should be in the most anticipated category - otherwise, I don't find anything there worth anticipating, really

Heh, if you treat Fallout 3 as a sure thing, Murphy's Law will make sure that Interplay folds next week. Just pretend there's no FO3, and it might have a chance.

Erm...!?

Why is "Night of the Raven - Die Nacht des Raben", the Gothic II AddOn, missing from the RPG/RPG-Strategy expansion section?

Because it has only been released in Germany. You'll notice Gothic 2 is up for best RPG this year, rather than last year when it was released in Germany.

May just be me, but the link at very end of the questions, after the email, didn't bring me back to the forum.

Myrthos - a little suggestion about next year's vote - make a best pleasant and upleasant surprise RPG cathegories. I had to vote in this year's surprise for Lionheart, as it sure did surprise as being such a dumb game.

I didn't think that even Interplay could be so stupid as to cancel a sure-fire hit. After Torn, BG3 and now Fallout 3, they deserve to fold. Firing a staff 2 weeks before Christmas without notice is bad karma, and with the amount of bad karma they already have, I can't see them lasting long. I sure won't ever be buying a Interplay game again, and I was tempted with BG:DA 2.
