Divinity 2 Uses Gamebryo engine |
|
Larian Studios <A href="http://www.larian.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Announcements&Number=220886&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1" target=_blank>announced</A> that they signed an agreement with NDL to use their <A href="http://www.ndl.com/" target=_blank>Gamebryo</A> engine for, amongst others, Divinity 2.<BR>
And in that same announcement they also mention using <A href="http://www.idvinc.com/" target=_blank>Speedtree</A> to create some lush vegetation.<BR>
And that about sums up what we know about Divinity 2 at the moment. |

Awesome! I've enjoyed many titles with the NetImmerse / Gamebryo engines and SpeedTree is amazing. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

So Gothic 3, Divinty 2 and Oblivion basically use the same core engine? Is that right? |

I'm not 100% clear that Gothic 3 uses GameBryo but yes - DivDiv2 and Oblivion (and Pirates! and Freedom Force vs The Third Reich and...) all use the same engine. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |
