Gomez who?

People keep mentioning someone called "Gomez" in Gothic 2, but I have no clue who he is. I have two keys marked with his name in my possession. Please, refresh my memory?

He was one of the characers in Gothic 1. He was the most powerful man in the colony and lived in the castle in the valley of mines. He was the leader of the old camp.

Aha ok, so I guess the keys with his name on them are used to open doors within the castle, then. Thanks.

Yes, there are 4 rooms on the second floor. With the 2 keys you can open the 3th room and the door in that room.

The question is... where is Gomez and the rest of the Magicians of Fire are?

(but... the magicians of fire... are magicians of FIRE... Basically... they handle fire... why they couldn't stop/absorbed Dragons Fire?)

It's too long since I played Gothic 1 so I don't know what happened to Gomez again exactly, but I guess you had to kill him or something, since he wanted to attack the new camp. One thing I do remember though is that he had all Fire Mages killed (they all resided in the Old Camp), that is all but Milten, who could escape in the nick of time and is therefore still alive in Gothic 2.

What I would rather like to know is where all of the Water Mages from Gothic 1 went, they seem to have disappeared and no one even mentions them in Gothic 2.

I believe they re-appear in the expansion.

That would be a good turn in the story...

The magician of fire were all killed (except Milten) by Gomez near the end of Gothic 1...
So it's hard that they come again in the expansion

Ishael, he said the magicians of WATER reappear in the expansion, not magicians of fire.
As for Gomez, you didnt have to kill him but ofcourse most people, including myself, did -and it was good!

Wasn't the magician in Khorinis wearing the blue robe (the one that can heal you if you ask, and stands preaching in front of a croud of citizens) a water magician? What was his name again?

Vatras is a High Magician of the Circle of Water, they are the "priests of Adanos".

When you open the chest in Gomezs' room(actually, it is Bartholo's room, but still), a skeleton appears. My guess is, you kill Gomez twice.

Saturas and the other water magicians went to the temple of the Sleeper, but I have been there(no inside, but near the entrance), and there is nothing there(except the old, empty orc village), so for them to reappear is possible. I would really like that.
