Dragons. In Heroes III the dragons have a 2 box breath weapon and are immune to such annoying spells as death ripple.

Behemoths - keeping up with the H3 theme, they are cheaper, their dwelling can be finished by the end of the first week, they are faster (ok, they are not that fast but next to the hydra ...) and are also quite cuter than the hydra.

Beyond divinity, it has better graphics, and the gameplay is somehow better.
