Opening movies for chapter sticks and stalls.

Newbe question I can't seem to find fix for. It is no big deal, but I can't seem to figure out why. I'm refering to the scenes with the subtiles when the chapter starts, not the opening movie scenes. The game is working fine so far.

Sounds like it's video or sound card related. I go with sound card drivers, but that's just an experienced guess. Others are far more knowledgeable than I when it comes to technical problems. When are you going to join our online games?

Don't worry, Corwin- she's already been properly grilled about that.

Mine does the same thing, but only with the Hoardes of Underdark opening movies. I also lean towards sound card drivers ... but since there are no recent updates for the soundblaster live, I just get to hit escape. *sigh*

I played with the sound settings, as my drivers are all up to snuff, and I found that for the movies to work it has to be on Miles whatever setting. I can play on other sound settings that are better, but I just left it on Miles, as it fixed that and I don't really hear a difference. I guess game and movie configs are two different things for this game.
@Corwin and Dte. I just want to tell you you got me hooked big time here. My family may kill me.

Like I told you elsewhere, you've already returned the favor. * dte's formerly evil sorceress heads for Blacklake as Mrs dte sighs loudly*

It's the video card

I'm playing with a subminimum system, and the chapter movies stuttered on me, also. . Other than that, the game ran fine.

Turning down the hardware acceleration on your sound card may clear that up. It's located in the control panel under sounds and advanced. One step should do....
