I'm not really worried by the orc looks - we'll always get used to that. Graphics all in all isn't really that important to me, it's the gameplay that counts.

I know that there will still be good characters and great conversations Sem, but I am a bit worried that they are too far a part. I don't ask for Khorinis, I ask for one of the camps in G1 - they were great to be honest, really felt like home! Trust me, you'll know what I'm talking about as soon as you've played through G1 a few times(you've ordered it now, right? I remember something about you ordering the German version not too long ago). Anyway, you'll see what I mean after playing it - and probably why I want it in G3 too.

I know that now, I've been playing G1 a few days already. The camps have a great feeling. (I would have loved to see teh Swamp Camp with NotR graphics). But the old camp is too big. I keep running around in the outer ring and that doesn't really please me.

The feeling those camps give isn't size-depended if you aks me.

Well, it's not too big Once you know the layout and placement of the most needed NPC's, navigating is pretty easy. But yeah, I agree that the camps were fun, all had their own feeling and enviroment.

Yeah, their feeling is great. The swamp camp is my personal favourite. I love spending time there, the music, the relaxed sorroundings. It reminds me of the Wookie planet Kashjyyk.

I agree that the camps in G1 are not size dependent, but at the same time they are. The swamp camp would not feel as great as it does if it contained 3 houses and 8 npcs, or 10.000.000 houses and 12.000.000 npcs. You need a good balance, and when I read that PB are going to make smaller settlements, I am hoping for a some about as big as the farming communities in G2(they are very small, with about 10 npcs), and a few about as big as the Swamp Camp. Not having a single "home base" type of camp that has a bit of size to it, would make me feel a bit lost I think. No need for something as big as Khorinis though.

Its got to be due to the limitations of the engine, bummer
I was always worried PB decided to use their own engine again even modified, it just seems they cant keep pushing that older technolgy engine.

I reallly never minded Gothic series graphics and animations were a couple of years behind, but certianly would/could have apprciated the series even more with better graphics, which sadly looks like it will never happen now.

I guess due to JoWood's terrible managnement/situation they just cant/wont give G3 the budget it deserves, very sad since Gothic 3 deserves to shine visually as brightly as any other game.

Sad news indeed

I hate to make a kamahl post, but my favorite place is in G2 at night during the snow when you approach the ice dragon. it is nice and quiet, the snow is gently falling and you are alone....ALONE, but not afraid. i honestly have a save i use when i have had a bad day. Being from the hot humid south USA, snow is not something we see much, so you dam yankees won't understand. You will think peacefulness is laying on the beach getting some rays with a cold drink......boring! Get outta the dam sun moron, it will kill you!

What a funny type of posts that is lol

Anyway. IMO I think that Khorinis is too big, even when I am doing quests from inside-to-inside it takes me some time (not a G2 master, yeah). And I also think that the size of the old camp is nice. TBH I never memorized the swamp camp at all. I just think it is a maze..
