| how to solve this problem? |

In the chapter 4 of Gothic 1, I met a problem. I must beat 3 monsters to visit the master of the tower, they are stone, ice, and fire... I controled the fire monster to beat the ice monster, but now the fire monster is still alive, and I don't know how to beat it. i tried to use ice monster's heart, to do that magic on it, but it didn't seem work. i think most people here are able to give me advice, so please tell... my Gothic 1 is chinese version, don't tell me that chinese version has bug there. |

Welcome to the forums
The ways to beat the golums are:
-Stone golum--> use a hammer
-Ice golum --> use fire magic (fire-arrow, ball of fire)
-Fire golum --> use water magic (ice-arrow, ball of lightning).  |

I think that the ice-arrow is named ice-bolt in Gothic1.You can find that spells
mostly at the New Camp from Cronos the ore-amount keeper.Cronos is also a
trader and he sells you runes and spells.By the way check out if the Baal-something(benith the tutors at Sect Camp) has water-magics.

ball lighting, ice bolt and ice block all won't work... really, I tried all of them magic on it, but fire monster will still be full "blood", i wonder if there's a bug in chinese version. but anyway, is there some way to cheat? i mean use code to beat it. I tried "kill" command in Console when it in my focus, it displayed "ok" in Console, but fire monster was still alive... how can i pass it? sigh. |

I dont think anyone has tried possessing the Fire Golem to get past that obstacle. Looks like you did find a bug.
Only thing I can suggest is if someone here can tell you how to use Marvin mode to summon a Fire Golem heart. That way you can just give that to Xardas and you should be able to continue.
At least I think thats how it worked, I havent played it in a while.

I remember the books saying that the stone and ice golem can e deffeted by hamers due to the fact they have simularities in their cracking nature.I also remember killing the ice golem with hammer once but then I tried again and didnt worked.

yes, mine is chinese version, and i am a chinese girl myself, I live in mainland china, any problem? in the game, caption is Chinese. the bug is in using magic, at the sleeper's place, only the last wizard's magic is able to hurt me. wow... wonderful, haha. I want to thank all the people who have ever given me advice to solve my problem in game.  |

Try holding down the key combination for the ball lightning until it gets as powerful as possible. See if that does any damage.

among all the magic, only Teleport, Shrink Monster, Death to the Undead and Transform into animals will work. ^_^ |
