I just started to play Gothic several days ago.
Here is my question:
- What level did your character reach, when you finished this game
- What level is you character now

When I finished I was level 28. Cause in the last chapter and near the end of the game your getting tons of exp and 8000 x 5 shamen. Some people keep talking shit like they hit level 40, which is funny cause I needed like 10,000 - 12,000 exp to go up one level and each level the requirement goes up. |

Warrior - Level 35
Primary attributes:
210 in strength and maximized 2h blade
Mage - Level 36
Primary attributes:
190 in Mana and 6th circle of magic
(Actually used the final robe in the end combat instead of the updated ore Armor. Just felt right)
Both had +600 in health.

When i finished the game as a mage I was level 52, which toooooook ages to amass.
Now im trying with being a Fighter (sect camp) , not touching any magic this time and im at 18 on chapter 3, but I did find an annoying bug, I was accepted as a novice, went to see Byrel guard let me through etc, later on I got to be a templar and Byrel was dead so I thought I may as well open those chests of his and the guard asked me who said you can come in, which in turn totally screwed up on what I can do next no missions no quests, delivered the 5 crystals to the New Camp and now nothing to do, Old Camp is still open for business, its nuts i tell ya...
So I thought ahh lets get fired killed a few Baals templers etc, but not been fired yet... Damn looks like Im starting over again *sigh* |

Hehehe... Once you reached 28, what did you add points to?
I had Circle 6, max trained Mana...
You must have trained up to 100 in both strength & Dex 
Who is Byrel?

So you entered Y'Berions castle, and since you did that you never entered Chapter 4 even if you returned the five focus stones and the Almenach to Saturas?

I reached level 38 with my mage, and had a load of stuff to spend skillpoints on. Could easily spend another 2-300 experience...

str 168 (mostly potions)
dex 73
mana 140 (mostly potions)

acrobatics
6th circle mage
protection
weapons 135
arrows 65
can't rembmer 65
magic 29
I went from rogue -> guard -> fire mage -> water mage -> dark mage
i missed a few quests and some runes doing it this way - i think. i never found the fist spell, or sleep, or charm, or a couple of others - i will look harder the next time through.
i might also go back and slaughter everyone before i go and kill the last baddie - just to see what i can find - i might even get enough xp to level one more time (i need roughly 20 000) |

All thoose runes are available at Baal Cadar after solving his Baal-Mission

time taken to complete : 39 hours in the week i played it
i chose a warrior / crossbowmen
with a dab of magic, circle 1
was level 38 by the end and had over 100 000 worth of stuff on me, you'll see why when you get to the end
