Minsc in BG1

hello all

Just a quickie...

I've just started playing bg through for a second time (using Tutu to make it a bit different - it looks aces on my big monitor at 1200 resolution) and am trying to pick all the characters that then reappear in bg2 for a continuous experience. But as for Minsc... As he is paired with Dynahair and she's not in bg2 (plus I'm a mage), I need to get rid of her but keep Minsc. Can I just let Dynahair be killed, will minsc be OK?

My party will be me (mage) Minsc, Imoen, Jaheria, Viconia and prolly Ajantis (even though he's not in bg2 except as a body at the start) I suppose I could pick Korgain. I'm just gonna have to watch that reputation... But it's a nice mix for "roleplaying"

I let Khalid be killed so I can get Jaheria on her own, is this going to cause problems or will this be ok?

Cheers in advance all

Jellylad

*Evil Val turns to the large Minsc and gives him her best sympathizing look.*

"Tis a tragedy, my dear Minsc. Now you'll have a reason to hit my enemies harder."

Or if you don't want to be evil simply: To get one person in the pair without the other, simply send the other person into a building (the person you want to get rid of), and then reform the party to kick them out. This way they can't come up to you and talk to you.

For a true continuous experience you should have Khalid as the last member of the party.... BG2 assumes your party is Yourself, Imoen, Jaheira, Khalid, Minsc, and Dynaheir (not a bad party).

That aside I think if you kill minsc then boot Dynaheir you should be alright...

Thanks for that.

The trouble is cos I'm playing in Tutu and it uses the BG2 engine, the people can follow you out of houses, so I can't do it that way can I? Guess I could kick them out on a map I'm never going to go to again then run off.

Will killing them cause any bad experiences?

Xen: Yeah, I know I should go with Khalid, but I had him the 1st tie through and he really annoyed me, so I decided to go for Ajantis for a change. Still wandering about Korgain cos I can pick him up in BG2. As for Dynahair, cos I'm a mage and will dual class Imoen, I thought that might be mage overkill...

It also dawned on me that I can't have much of a life if I'm contemplating playing these for 300 hours all over again. Oh well.

Korgan is not in BG1. It's another evil dwarf warrior (Kagain?).

And 'you' don't need to kill a character. Strip Minsc or Dynaheir naked and walk them alone into an enemy camp and let things progress to a logical conclusion.

Ah yes, I'm getting my bitter dwarves mixed up.

OK then, I think it's going to be a long walk alone in the middle of the night for Dynaheir, the poor girl. Ta muchly 'Xen.
