A frustrating troubleshoot...
   

My PC:
Amd 2600+
Excalibur radeon 9500pro(catalyst 3.4)
512ddr
4gb free hard disk space...
directx 9.0a
win xp pro

G2 troubleshoot randomly, sometimes just after loading a game, sometimes after playing a min..
i enabled radeonhack in gothic.ini, but no change.
i put it into 800x600:16, no change...

help plz

What happens? Crash to desktop or reboot?

I had a similar thing. Took a few minutes, maybe 15. Also an AMD system with a Radeon card.
The reason was: heat. It was a freshly assembled machine, I set the cpu cooler to something very low on itīs scale. Gave me random reboots in every game I started. It ended when I gave the fan some more power.

than how can i play GTA:Vice city,postal2,Live For Speed with no problem?

Then it must be something else. Disable sound in the gothic.ini to test if the soundcard is involved.
