the emperor has been slain and we have to find his son, because only the emperor's power keep the demons away......

come on, can you say Warhammer 40k rip off
at least the emperor there is not immortal

not that I really mind about the main plot, I still haven't done that in the old morrowind

Plots get recycled a lot more than you probably realise. The concept of chaos afflicting a land once a royal bloodline is severed is a very old one, and greatly pre-dates WH40K.

Everything you see in computergames was at one point binarily cloned by well-read individuals, from any book they liked.

I remember seeing a parody about LotR sometime on the net, that was greatly appalled that the Lord of the Rings trilogy so shamelessly stole the concept of Orcs from Blizzard's Warcraft franchise

I remember reading a series of books caled the sword of shanara trilogy. That was a shameless rip off of lotr exept with races changed and the ring replaced with the one sword.
