DS and LAN multiplayer problems solved
   

Having got the game yesterday (I'm a UK resident) I attempted to setup a multiplayer game on my LAN. Had several problems and read many posts on many forums about network and internet issues. Nothing seemed to improve things so I decided to disable all non essential system processes.

First was Norton Internet Security, both Internet and Anti Virus - and lo and behold DS workd fine.

Hope this helps others in the same situation.
