Bloodmoon Patch Released (v1.6.1820)

The official Bloodmoon patch has now been released. First please read the release notes, then go to the download page to get the North American or European versions. Aussies, make sure you get the right version - there are reports that both US and EU Bloodmoon is on sale in Australia!

Reading the release notes is highly recommended! Aside from various fixes to Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon quests, this patch makes a few controversial changes to armour weights: reportedly the Nordic Mail has been changed to Heavy, and Bear and Ice armour has been changed to Medium. Obviously, if your character is in a tight spot you might want to leave installing the patch until after getting to safety, as you may need to rework all your armour...

If you don't like the armour changes, there are fan-made patches already appearing that revert things to their previous settings.

Ok, I've downloaded the patch, what do I do with it now?

Well, the download is just a ZIP archive, and inside that is a single EXE. Theoretically, all you do is unzip anywhere you like and run it - it should work out the rest itself!
