Tree Totem

I went south in the Forbidden Lands to where the Goblin Shaman Worglaw is located. Since I don't have 10.000 Gold I decided to kill him instead. Now I cannot get the Tree Totem even when standing right on top of it and pressing <Shift>.

Does anyone have a solution? Is this a game bug?

yeah it's happed to me too i tried to kill the shaman that is keeping the totem and take the totem without paying 10,000 gold!! but after i killed the shaman i came near that table that the totem is on it and i didnt saw any possablity to take the totem... i had luck that i saved before trying to kill the shaman and i payed him 10,000...... but i killed him anyway after my point is that you should start from a save before you killed him and pay the gold (if you have that save).....it's bug in the game i think...

If you've killed him, I don't think you need the Totem. The Tree Guardians will know you killed him and will attack you anyway. You'll have to kill them to get through the passageway.

Better to pay and keep him alive though. If you do, the guardians give you a Unique staff that can be used to summon help.
