'Will Subscription $ decide which game you play, Wow or EQ2?'

Sony are renowned for high priced provisioning, but will price decide which game you play out of the two main coming releases, World of Warcraft or Everquest 2?

History - Sony have yet to reduce any of their online subscription costs to customers, whilst Blizzard have supplied free small services. It will be interesting to see if Sony will lower the price of Everquest 1 or choose to make Everquest 2 and higher priced game.

Certainly not!!

I´m a diehard Warcraft fan and i will play WoW, even if the price is higher then that of other MMORPG´s. By the way i think WoW is a far better game then EQ2 but thats pretty personal i think

I think its a matter of taste and not price. Unless the price difference was hugh its all about gameplay.

I probably wont be playing either. Not unless one of them has something to make it worth my time. So far thats not the case, they just sound like MMORPG v4.6...

It could be argued that both games are of equal attraction, but if one company was to make a subscription cost distasteful them it could make the decision of which game is played!

With the inevitable scaling down of the server power required for EQ1 and EQ2 using similar game zone techniques and server hardware layout, the costs of EQ2 should mainly be in the development of the game.

When you really think about it, do you think it’s reasonable to expect Sony to lower EQ1 price and release EQ2 with a similar current subscription level?

Blizzard could take a very good lead if they where to release the subscription price and it being very affordable to most players.
