Lands of Lore 2 was pretty bad, as well as Evil Islands.
But the all time worst game has to be Descent to Undermountain, IMO. |

The worst rpg/adventure game i played was Arcatera - the dark Brotherhood. This game could be great, but is was full of quest stopping bugs. I send my savegames to the developer westka. They said "the next patch will fix this" but the patch never came out.

never played lands of lore, loved darkstone, hated evil islands,
worst was probably pools of radiance 2.
tho i heard decsent to under mountain was so incredibly bad that it probably deserves the title.

If Worst = No fun to play at all.
I have to vote for Arcatera too, this game is terrible and have absolute no fun factor at all. Even without all it's bugs the gameplay and control is crappy at least.
I certainly don't agree on the following:
POR 2 may be boring in the long run, but still some kind of fun in the beginning. And the latest patch did make the game playable.
Evil Island, may be a RPG light game with it's main focus on stratetic battles and character power building, but is very playable and fun at times.
Stonekeep. Come on, this game was great at the time it was released. It had some very tough quests to solve, but it still had a very good gameplay!
Descent under mountain: Don't want to defend that game that much. It was very buggy, but the general idea of the game was fun! Reminds me a little of the newer "Demise: Rise of the Ku'tan". A mega dungeon crawler with character power building as the main focus.
Lands og Lore 2: No, this game was great. The morphing between 3 complete different characters, and the very intensive 1. person realtime battles was a lot of fun! |

Right, especially at the time when you couldn't control the morphing . But No. 3 was quite nice as well, especially since you could tie up some knots from LoL 1... need I mention Jakel and Jeron? Who didn't wish to beat the crap out of these two in LoL1?
I just remembered another 'stinkiest CRPG' award runner-up: Betrayal in Antara.

Has to be Tunnels and Trolls: a generic dnd clone, but way over-simplified. Boring quests, boring travel-mode, boring combat...well you get the point. Battles were such a waste of time that I would click thru as fast as I could and sometimes I'd forget to check the results--in one session my fighter just wasn't doing anything for fight after fight. I finally checked and found out that he had lost both of his hands.
I did finish the game/ don't know why. |

Return to Krondor - also known as Return to Sender. (Surprised I didn't say Daggerfall. You would think so, as much as I bad mouth it.) Daggerfall was (for it's time) the best RPG around. Few games today come close to it's depth...But it was terribly "buggy". It did come close to being on my worst ever list though, maybe number two.

Screw you guys. Evil islands is fun. Its hard-ass, but fun.
The W0RsT RPG ever made Magic Knights Rayearth for SNES. I am almost embarassed to admit playing it.

Icewind Dale. It's almost unbearable AFTER you've beaten Baldur's Gate 2! And 640x480! |

I liked Evil Islands, Stonekeep and Return to Krondor(though betrayal at Krondor was better in all ways except graphically). Hate to see some people say these games are the worst. |

I thought Stonekeep wasn't very good.
Pool of Radiance 2 made me want to pull my hair out.
And Ultima 8 was rather disappointing to say the least. |
