A question To you RPG players

Well me and a friend are quite into RPGs. We would like to know of a good multiplayer RPG we can play online. We've played and finished the enjoyable but short Baulders gate Dark alliance on the xbox. And before that we played Icewind dale 2 on the pc over the net.

My question. What games would you reccommend. Not really interested in the SP campaign. Just want a good multiplayer one that we can do over the net.

Please suggest a few games. And mention if you can control one or more classes per player,

Thanks for your time forum members. I look forward to your replies.

Just checked out a review. Is this is first person game? can you control more than one plaer at the same time?

I would at least try it thank for the info. But i much prefer the point and click style.

just realised this is the forum for only online multiplayer games. Looking for a good game where you can do a cooparitve online game. Like in Icewind Dale. Although I didn't really like Icewind.

I'll move this to the single player RPG forum because there it belongs.

Someone else who can't count!!

I do agree, however, NWN is probably your best bet. Deus Ex has some MP, but not much. All the mods available make NWN the clear choice.

Neverwinter Nights, especially if you're into Forgotten Realms setting already.

Yeah, NWN definitely sounds like what you're after...

But if you fancy a change, System Shock 2 has a superb co-op mode. The character "classes" are very different, and it's plenty scary enough for two people

Yup. And there are SOOOooo many modules written by independents programers that you could not, realistically, play them all in one life time.

Never Winter Nights ...............'nuff said !

(P.S....a friend and I are actually having quite a good time playing Diablo 2 in co-op mode via the net.....not strictly RPG, but good fun for a blast)

hhmm, for online play, i suggest EverQuest or Earth and Beyond (not an RPG? too bad!! i BETA tested it and its a very good game)
Diablo 2 is a good game for multiplayer and it is free. i have enjoyed many hours wasting my life on that game.

for good single player play i would have to say Deus Ex, Gothic, or Summoner.

Quite agree Corwin (about Dungeon Siege).

When I started playing it, I was very impressed, but it soon became "same".....shame really.

P.S. I believe somewhere, I read that you were "getting on in years"...........fear not I am 49 and still a kid really !!

Regards,

Hexmaster
