Ok, I've already played and completed HoU without assistance. Now I have come back to play it and I can't remember what to do to get through the mirror transport thingy on the Golem isle.
I thought you were supposed to break the mirrors but I can't seem to do it. Is this right?
How do you get through it without getting transported and/or killed?
I forgot.

It only takes one hit from a bow to smash the mirrors. You have to hit and run to the next until all 4 are smashed. Then the transporter will cease to be an issue. If you do not have access to a bow then there are remains in the middle of the area that have a sling and bullets. So, anyone can do it. You just have to be very fast and do not wait to watch the mirror smash. Time is precious.

Thanks T. I couldn't recall the sol'n (nor the puzzle either), since I blew through the game in late December ('twas an Xmas gift *grin*).
But I thought that for posterities sake we should have the sol'n posted.

And I knew I should have posted the solution but I was off in a world of my own. I was a bit bitter that no one came to rescue me in my time of need so I was momentarily playing the pissy selfish brat. 
I'm over it. 
Since I haven't posted in the game forums in a while I also temporarily forgot my personal protocol, as well as the forum's. Again:
But, since I vaguely remember being a frequent problem solver, I decided to take the route you suggested. Thanks for bringing me back to the game, Sir. 
Too bad I can't remember much else of the game or I'd be a better helper to those needing help now. I've always loved helping.
