Why has my armour rating suddenly gone to 0??

While doing a quest, my armour rating suddenly dropped to 0 - from 93!! medium, heavy, unarmoured etc... all down to 0. I don't have anything affecting me (like disease) and resting makes no difference. Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just another random bug?? Does anyone know how I could cheat to get it back to where it was??

Did your actual skill in these go down, or just your armor rating? Cause there is a problem with some armours such as indirl and dreugh because they are on the border of medium and heavy armor. So the game switches in between and that can effect your armour rating. But if you mean the skills in wearing the different types of armor, I have no idea.

Hmm

Did you by any chance pick up a sword named, "The Fury" ? If you did, that is what did it. Go into the console and manually raise your armor ratings back up. This is a bug in Morrowind that will be fixed in a patch coming in a few weeks. I just didn't want to wait a few weeks to play my character again, so I repaired the problem with the console.

That's the real problem, you have to remember where it was. For me, I already knew where my levels were, and then I gave each armor value 5 points less than what I knew it to be as a penalty for my stupidity. I also didn't want to feel like I didn't earn my points.

Try:
player-> setheavyarmor 50 (or what you want)

player-> setmediumarmor 24

player-> setunarmored 10

player-> setlightarmor 20

Or whatever you think your armor ratings were at...

Donīt know if you can type all at once, otherwise, just do them one after the other. The consoletext turns blue if your command was successfull. Good luck!

There's an addon fix for this alled furybugfix.zip or something. Try morrowindfiles.com. They probably have it. It will fix your ratings automatically to their previous ratings.
