We could have one, sure - but is there enough interest?

Why not do the following. When we get enought votes for opening a new forum, we'll open it. If a froum seems to be dead after a period of time, we put out a warning and close it if it remains to be dead.

Question is...how much is enough votes? 10? 20?

Who is to say that at any given time there is enought interest in a game to start or close a forum. Look at Horizons: Empires of Istaria and Runesword 2; those threads in my opinion are dead. But tomorrow they might be going strong. People are starting games all the time. In the Daggerfall forum, I noticed some questions on how to install Daggerfall on Windows XP, so one can assume these people have never played Daggerfall. So you never know when a game (or forum) is finally dead and buried. Look at the bargin bins in your local software store. People are today buying games that are over ten years old. New players equal new (new to them, maybe old hat to us who played the game)questions. Look at some on the topics in Gothic, some have 10 threads but over 100 views. Taking a poll would show that 10 people actually will answer the question; but 90 won't. I guess my advice would be to open a forum on the game. It couldn't hurt

Ok, fair enough, but with hundreds of games out there it's kind of hard to open for all those games a forum isn't it?
Is in your opinion the fact that someone asks for a new forum enough to open one?

Hundreds of role-playing games (I wish). Of course you shouldn't open a new forum at the drop of a hat. I any saying, we should try new forums on the above-average RPG's, which Dungeon Seige should be, like I said what can it hurt.
Some of the games that are listed under the "Games" topic, truthfully I've never heard of, and I doubt seriously that you can say that you've heard of all of them either; but there is obviously a desire and need for them to be there. What's the big deal?

Rendelius said in other post that he will close several dead forums.
So maybe it will be possible to open this one for "test" run.
I agree with Myrthos, that it is good to close dead forums and to give test time to new forums.
