Blizzard: World of... BurgerCraft?
   

Blizzard has announced its latest business venture, a fast food restaurant chain to be known as <a href="http://www.blizzard.com/press/060401.shtml" target="_blank">BurgerCraft</a>.<blockquote><em>IRVINE, Calif. -- April 1, 2006 -- Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today unveiled BurgerCraft™, introducing the company’s latest business venture and revealing many details about the plans for its company-owned restaurant chain. The grand opening of the first BurgerCraft restaurant is set to take place on June 1, 2006 in downtown Los Angeles, California. At BurgerCraft, players will have a chance to truly taste the flavor of Blizzard's games and savor traditional dishes from all the company’s popular game universes. BurgerCraft will be open to customers of all ages and will provide a fun environment for the whole family.

<br>"Blizzard has experienced tremendous growth in the past 15 years, but none of that growth would have been possible on an empty stomach," said Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "BurgerCraft will allow us to share many of Blizzard’s delicious secret recipes and celebrate the rich cuisine of the Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft universes with our players."

<br>At BurgerCraft, gamers will be able to choose from a varied menu, eat Blizzard meals live with other members of the gaming community, and try out The Burger Crusade™, Blizzard's highly anticipated restaurant queue system. Among many other exciting meals, the BurgerCraft menu will include:

I...do not know what to say. Incomprehensible comes to mind.

Exec #1: You know, we are so very successful at making games, I bet we could do well in any consumer goods and services sector.

Exec #2: Wow Larry, that is so logical I can't believe we did not think about that sooner.

I especially liked the whole Hunger System and the Secret Cow Level VIP lounge. Maybe I'm just easy to humor but I think it's a pretty good joke.

Hey, give the guy a break. This isn't just your every day April Fool's joke, it's a classic. I mean, who can really go past a Frost Shock Smoothie in Orc, Tauren or Troll flavours?

I feel it's our duty to post spurious April Fool's stories, and be taken in by them.
