1) Your rogue is probably using a piercing weapon against skeletons. Skeletons have damage reduction 5/blunt ... meaning they subtract 5 from your damage unless you're using a blunt weapon. As a rogue you probably are using daggers or shortswords and have a strength of maybe 12. That would be 2 to 5 damage on a dagger, and 2 to 7 on a short sword. Which means at best you could do 2 damage with a short sword.

Rogues don't like skeletons at all.

Zombies have damage reduction of 5/slashing.... and again since most rogue weapons do piercing damage they're pretty much screwed against zombies, too.

Familiars cannot be called. They sit in your inventory forever giving you a skill bonus. This is unfortunate but realistic to the D&D rules... nobody would dare send a familiar into a fight as the familiar would surely die and damage them hundreds of experience. Familiars are not the super-god-beings of Neverwinter Nights that you can summon once a day. If they die they cannot be replaced for a year and a day.

Survival... I don't know. Sometimes a ranger will notice things about areas and he'll do so automatically. I didn't play around with it all that much.

When the party travels from area to area, say form Hammlet to the Moat House, the survival skill allows you to choice between avioding an random encounter or fighting through it. If you get a random encounter, a box with the choices to avoid the encounter or fight comes up. This skill is great for ironman mode where you want to manage your encounters to things you can handle.

Survival skill is also the skill used when attempting to track. When you make a tracking attempt, your survival skill is roled Vs. the CR of the monster. If the skill check mets or bets the CR a box pops up telling you the name of the creature, and what direction it is from you. This is also very helpfull for Ironman mode, but it has some limits. A room maybe full of monsters, but only one or two may show up on track.

Thanx both, I already found the encounter part of Survival skill from the help. I always got choice boxes, and so I didn't understand what's it for.

About Skeletons, no that's not the issue. My rogue has 14 strength, and is usind a "Dagger + 1", and still does EXACTLY 0 damage to any skeletal creatures(he does low damages to non-skeletal undead, but not 0.). And another question, which level should I be when I enter the Temple? I mean like most of my party is lvl 7, but I still require to return to Nulb to rest after every 3-4 battles in the Temple. I guess that it's because 3 of my chars are pregenerated, and thus VERY weak. And how to complete the quest about the spy from the workers? The cook said that they will return at sundawn, but they don't. And what's the most interesting ending? I will certainly complete it on my Neutral Good, but I'm thinking of replaying it soon.

Try having your rogue use a light mace. If he's still doing 0 to a skeleton he's bugged. Otherwise, it's the skeleton's damage resistance (which may be too high... it's been known to happen).

Interesting endings are definitely evil endings.

Level 7 should be strong enough to beat the game, yeah. If you're getting whomped a lot you might want to go to level 8 or 9 with random encounters outside, I guess... even with pregenerated or point buy characters, though, you should be doing ok. What does your party consist of?

So, what about that quest in Hommlet I asked about?

And I'll try to use a mace. I think I'll go for Chaotic Evil... BTW, what's "Point Buy"? My party consists of:
1-Neutral Good Female Cleric
2-Neutral Good Male Rogue(very charismatic )
3-True Neutral Female Druid("point buy", but good.. kind of...)
4-True Neutral Female Wizard(pregenrated)
5-Female Paladin(pregenerated, 8 Dex!)

Hired:
1-Elmo lvl.7
2-Fruella
3-Meleny(lvl 4), I keep her because Otis left me, and nobody is very good... And after all she's soo cute...

I had the same problem of the workers not returning to the construction site at dawn. When they do return, have your CHR endowed character talk to the guy standing infront of the site (Left side, where the path leads to town). After this there is a quick sub quest you also do at one of the venders.

That's a huge party... you should be doing fine, though if you weren't trying hard to be the Fellowship of the Ring and had a more optimal number of characters you'd probably be level 8 or perhaps even 9 by now.

Point buy is the name of the system that you get to use on character generation if you choose the second option under roll. Basically it makes characters suck if you want high stat characters.
