Hey! Who stole my soul gems?

Every once in a while I will lose all the soul gems from my inventory. I'm thinking it's a save-game problem, but I can't say for sure.

Is this a known issue? It seems to have started only recently.

What's happening? Help!

Can't say I've run into that particular problem before!

Were they really yours, or did you steal them? All stolen goods will be taken from you if you get arrested by a guard - could that be what's going on?

No, they weren't stolen. Hmmmm.

I'm beginning to wonder if soul gems might be vulnurable to magic damage. My character's been dowsed pretty bad a few times (80% resistant at this point).

Thanks.

I really doubt that soul gems could be destroyed by magic damage.

This happened to me last night!

I was killing a monster outside of Caldera and I unintentionally hit a guard during the battle.

I paid the 50 Drake fine and about a half hour later (after several saves) I noticed that I had lost at least 10 empty soul gems!

Based on scanning the forums I'm guessing they are in an "Evidence Box", closest one is probably Moonmuth fort prison.

That's probably what happened.

There's bug (never fixed, AFAIK) that once you steal a type of item (say a Petty Soul Gem), that type of item will always be considered stolen -- even if you drop it and buy others of it. The ones you will buy will still be considered stolen.

Well there is simply one thing to do - go on a murderous rampage in Caldera with my hellspawn army until they cough them up.

gdgrimm, please read my "Mage Tips" thread I just updated on conjuring - I'm very interested in your feedback.

So my stuff was in fact in Moonmoth Fort - Prison Tower basement. Its was in an "Evidence" chest. Problem is - its guarded.

I tried a snatch and grab by doing a "Recall" right in front of the guard, but I got socked with the amazing Morrowind *cell phone* phenomenon. Apparently all cities are linked via Cellular transmission towers cleverly hidden in the various Dwemer ruins accross the island .

So I guess I'll keep a lookout for either
a) Cellular Towers - to be destroy on sight
b) A Frenzy Humanoid Spell. If I can get her to attack me I'll beat her to death with her phone.

I hate to say it, but this "Phenomenon" is actually the weakest feature of the game. Very unrealistic that Balorma would know about my crime as soon as I materialize in the Fighters Guild in front of my favorite weapons Seller.

Boo Hiss .
