| Can't forge magic ore weapons |

Hey all. I'm in Chapter one, just became a merc. Haven't even given the peace offer to Lord Hagen yet. Instead, I wanted to get myself a magic ore blade. So I go up to the bandit camp and get the ore from the mines; I already found a chunk in Khorinis, so I'm at 6 now. I go back to Bennet and hand him the ore, then ask him to teach me. I get the dialogue about how I only have to coat the surface of a fresh blade w/ ore and all that, but then I can't do the actual forging! I didn't get a journal entry, either. Any help out there? I fought hard for that ore - minecrawler warriors are tough with a self-forged sword! Thanks everybody. |

Do you have the 'forge magic ore blade' skill? Without that skill you can't make those weapons. Are you sure you got all the materials you need? raw steel and enough ore nuggets?
Or maybe it just isn't possible yet to make those blades in the chapter you're in. I don't know.  |

You just need to talk again and ask to know more about magic blades... Then you'll get a list with weapons for what you wanna teach

Bah! He says, "not yet." So I basically give him three ore nuggets for nothing. He's got a good deal going  . I assume that I shouldn't get a journal entry here, then? That I'll get one when I learn to forge specific swords? |
