What are the Bones for?

I Killed the ice Dragon on Arx Fatalis, and got the bones from it. What do they do? I tried to put them on my Slayer Blade, But Am Shegar Said that it wasn't a good idea. Why?

I don't remember finding anything to use the dragon bone powder on and it worked. Maybe someone else did. I didn't play much with potions and majic so I may have not had high enough skills to use it. Would be interesting to know.

What were you playing at the time, more mage or more warrior skills and what weapon or equipement did you put it on. I used it a few times during the game on my sword and didn't see any change in anything. If you can remember let us know.
