I didn't like this game... first of all, you have to have a monster PC to run it. Over 1 ghz... then it have no story. And the NPC's that follows you are stupid...

No (I saw it played it 8 hours on my friends PC during night).
1) 800 Mhz TBird, 256 RAM, GForce 2 GTS - max deatils, partial shadows, 1027*768*32 - smooth, minor slowdowns
2) I do not think that NPC are fools. They have best NPC (followers) AI I have ever seen - no stucks in doors and narrow corridors etc.

Well some people who have not so hot PCs are getting as good or better framerates though than people with the monster PCs, it's very strange.

You don't need a 1ghz, sorry. You've obviously not played the game if you think that.

The story is presented over time, not all thrown in your face right away.

My computer:

AMD Thunderbird 900 Mhz
256 Mb RAM
Geforce 2 MX 32 Mb

I get about 25-40 fps, and that is NOT what i call smooth. I want at least 60 FPS to call it smooth.

And the NPCs, you have to give them order what todo all the time. Can't they just follow you and fight alone. I didn't want a strategy game.

Rawis, several people said: "I think game will do everything instead of me".
And they have true. If you do not turn AI scripts off, all members of you party will fight alone effectively.
So you can litteraly move your party from location to locationg and just look on them when they are killing enemies.
However you give them 3 main types of fight (attack everything, attack, defend).

Well I have an Athlon 1800xp, 512 MB DDR RAM and A Radeon 8500 and I get about the same FPS or even slightly less but you know what? The game still play smooth. It's not a FPS so you're not going to get those kind of numbers. Also, I'm not entirely sure the FPS counter they built into the game is accurate. There's times when it tells my I am running at 15 FPS and yet the game running very smooth and it doesn't at all seem like 15FPS. My advice? Ignore the darned counter, just turn it off. As long the game runs smooth who cares about numbers anyway?

The chatacters fight just find provided you have them all selected. I thought they sucked for the longest of times, then I realized you needed to highlight them all.

You don't need a monster PC to run Dungeon Siege, you just don't.

PIII 450mhz
512mb ram
32mb Radeon All-In-Wonder (not 8500)

It gets the job done with minimal slow downs.
