Dragon Age: Forum Highlights @ Sorcerer's Place

A new batch of Dragon Age forum highlights are available at Sorcerer's Place. Here's David Gaider, as usual:
Why create pointless tedium by forcing the players to hang out in town waiting for that mana bar to refresh??

Um... who said we would do that?

Those areas don't even have to be hard to reach if we don't want to... as far as you know, reaching "camp" could be as easy as going back to the Ebon Hawk in KotOR. Please don't assume anything.

As far as "tedium" goes, I think a little bit of time management is no crime. We're not going to have "mana areas" and likely no mana potions either -- they don't exist in the world and we're not going to insert them just because it's nifty -- so we're going to balance the levels of time and mana management that a player has to deal with until we get the mix right. Certainly it's not something that's intended to be inflicted on the player -- there are other reasons why we might want to use a camp area, and having reasons to go there might just be a good thing, after all. You just don't know, do you?
I can't wait to see what they have in store, because they certainly seem to be creating a different gameworld - at least as much as you can tell from David's denials on the forums.

Is it just me, or do all of the devs comments basically add up to,
"Ummm, no, we never said we'd do that," plus a sarcastic remark.

And these are the 'highlights'? What's the point of posting this drek?

Try reading the rest, most of it is actually quite interesting. But if it doesn't interest you either, by all means, don't read it. We'd hate for anyone to fell forced to read any of our news. Just don't assume that if you don't want to read it, no one else does either. 90% of what's posted on RPGDot doesn't interest me either, but I don't bash the coverage for that, because I know there definitely are people who are interested in parts of the 90% of news that I'm not.

Having said that, we are going to weed out at least the one-liners and remarks that have little to no informational value, but there aren't that many of those that we've posted anyway.

Well, that's what I was referring to, *their* drek, not RPGDot, which is in my opinion "the mac", as the kids used to say.
