I was wondering if some of the armor from Gothic 1 would be used in Gothic II. I liked the Robe of the Dark Arts best Also, I was pondering if there will be other ancient armors or some such in Gothic II as well. Some of the other armors were nice, but the Ore Baron's stuff was a little...weak? Guess it makes sense though, more cloth and less ore. But, so close to the release date, in the U.S., it might not be possible, just thought I'd put another few cents in. _________________ The Lord of the Rings:

Eh? I thought the Ore Baron's armor was the best in its class amongst the NPCs? Well, having had a look at the new armor in Gothic2, I think I favor them.
Yeah... I can't believe it! Those bloody Germans are going to be enjoying Gothic 2 next month! Lemme see... maybe if I learn German now... I have around 20+ days to do it... AArrrrgggghhh! _________________ Erb Duchenne |

You know, I forgotten......!! I haven't cheated recently though either. I spose I'm just a lil on the dark side, even the ore armor didn't beat the Robe of the Dark Arts in listing though it is better in weapon and arrow protection, it lacks the mightiness of fire and magick protection the robes have (them Orc Priests were cake, to be precise.) Guess it depends on the situation, sorta like different weapons for different critters, different armors too. As for the Ore Baron's armor, it probably is but, that late in the game it "seems" weak. At least to myself anyway.
About the german...: I think I'd rather stick to myne own language afore venturing into another one, too much input and not enough hard drive space, lol No offense to the Gothic crew of course(or anyone else for that matter!). _________________ The Lord of the Rings:

In the storie it says that the old prisoners escaped and made stronger weapons. If they can make stronger weapons the must be able to make stronger armor to. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Yep. Good excuse for throwing all the old armor out!

Not the one you get if'n your a Necromancer yerself! It was 90 wep 20 or some odd arrow 40 fire and 30 magic protection, if memory serves me right. the Ore Armor was 110 wep 40 arrow 20 or so fire and little if any magick protection? Maybe it was 20 or 10...I dunno. I also utilized an ore armor amulet and a couple rings of greater invincibility
Anyways, i'm getting too ahead of myself. I suppose if they could make better they would, I just hate to see the Robe of the Dark Arts go! It just looked so.....cool I guess I shouldn't worry you know, the new armors will look better I'm sure, I'm just hittin ya up fer posts
j/k of course, I would NEVER do that. _________________ The Lord of the Rings:

Last time I checked JoWooD's site they still said November 29th for the English language version. But I can't access it right now. _________________ Jaz |

Will the english version be finished by the time the german one is released...? Or will there still be translation to be made... ?
I'm curios if there will only be multiplication to be made... _________________ "Right, what can I do for you ?"

Eh? (again) What are you getting at? That the people within the walls of this forum are too stupid to learn languages? I think it's actually a great (and fun) idea! _________________ Erb Duchenne |
