Hypothetical question for the Framerate Folks |
|
Let's say that a game company is planning to release a game, which we'll call Game X. Let's say that Game X has been shown to run, on a top range computer, at 50 fps when all AI and Graphics options are set to 75% of max. Upping to 100% will bring even top-of-the-line computers down to around 25. Should the company just cap the options sliders at 75%, so nobody has to feel that their system can't handle it with all options on? Would that make you happier?
Please explain, because I don't get it. |

Hehe, well put! I guess it just bugs some people because it kind of hurt their pride if they cant brag that their super kick-ass rig that they have ruined themselves to buy is not able to max every slider, and then some.

exactly what I thought *g*
I know it's hard to do, because it hurts personality, but these sliders are here to be set to a position that makes the game work nice on your computer - not to see how bad your machine sucks _________________ Rendelius
