Hi guys,

OK, does anyone know if increasing mana increases dammage done by spells ? I have a spare 40 points as a mage and already have 6th circle but not much mana (30 or 40 in total i think). I could spend the points getting 2H skills or increasing my bow skills, or i could invest in mana. However I have over 200 mana bottles and i dont mind having to drink every time ive killed a couple of people.

What you guys think ? More mana or 2H sword and strength ?

Also where do I get circle six runes ? I cant find them ?

How you invest the points is your preference, but if you're a magician it's better to put them in circles of magic (first!) and mana (second!).

As for your other question, mana does increase the damage of some spells.

They're called "Investment" spells. More mana lets you use them longer and thus inflict more damage or perform the needed function longer.

Three good examples: Pyrokinesis, Telekinesis, Control.

As for more mana actually making your spells hit harder over the same amount of time as with less mana, they don't.

This means that a single fireball will do the same damage if you have thirty mana that it will do if you have sixty mana.

But if you can use the extra mana to cast Pyrokinesis for a longer amount of time, you will do more damage to the enemy in the end.

That's basically how it works.

As for the circle 6 runes, there are only a few of them and they're quite hard to come by. The best usually must be found rather than bought.

The only circle 6 runes I can remember are the Uriziel Death Wave and Breath of Death.

Thanks chap. I sold pyrokenises when I found it thinking it wasnt as good as the 4th circle spell of fire storm which I constantly use to great effect. I wiped out the whole Orc village from the bridge with it !

Storm of fire was one of my faves too. Good range, collateral damage, big explosion, and looks nice in the bargain.

Even better, if you cast Firestorm without charging it up at all, it costs NO mana.
