I agree.
I also believe that translating a game-full of speech from German to English won't really take 4 months. Thats pushing to the limit of pure laziness, if that is true. The Devs themselves said the German version was ready to ship anyway. That means that either the translator is booked for 4 months, or someone made a CRITICAL error. _________________ "Don't you call me a mindless philosipher, you old weight lob of grease."

and i was looking forward to this game at the end of November for months, to good to be true...no one ever releases on time, they always delayed it. I have lost all the interest I had in Gothic II. I'll get Metriod Prime instead. and in Feb, i'll get Zelda instead. i doubt i'll even get Gothic II now. i'm going to forget Gothic and stick to my GCN and PS2. now i should probly change my name... |

What is wrong with you guys? They haven't delayed it in the US, they haven't even announced the release date. And for the record, I'm happy that we get the game before you. So stop complaining, if you really want the game, get it from a UK site. It isn't harder then that!
Now get this in to your head: THEY HAVEN'T DELAYED THE GAME! Just stated that it will come later... _________________ There once was a youngster, DzD

I´m with you DzD. It comes when it comes. I prefer a late game that is complete and stable, than something rushed and half-done. _________________ CaptainWorshipperNonFlamer

You act like you're completely innocent to the fact that games are frequently delayed, for various reasons. Either that or you frequently overreact to small changes. Did you really expect to get Gothic 2 (the german version) on Oct 29th? As for the English version... has it really been delayed? It was always slated for end Nov or Dec. _________________ Erb Duchenne |

So am I Mr. Beta-tester. Be sure to find all the bugs and report them so I can get a good patched version that never crashes. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

This is certainly a storm in a teacup; anyone who takes a game shipping date as gospel is being silly.
Those that are thinking of placing international orders, just be a little careful of your expectations. There's no guarantee the german version will ship on time let alone the english version ship in the UK as indicated.
Jowood lists Gothics 2's Australian release as the same date as Scandinavia, for example, just as they have for Arx Fatalis. Arx is listed for Australia/Scandinavia 11/01. Since Jowood has no offices here, they're reliant on the local distributor who have told me personally 11/18 at best - and this is for a game that was released in german months ago.
As a final example, Icewind Dale 2 is due for release in the UK in November. Try figuring that out - a finished game from a major studio, released *everywhere* else, delayed by 2 months in the UK.
Just wait. |

Jowood is mainly an european publisher. That's probably the reason for distribution delays in North Armerica etc., even when there's already a english version of g2. |

No problem! I'll just test the patches that gets released before you get the game, and I'll definitely finish the game over and over so that I can help you when you get it. _________________ There once was a youngster, DzD
