...not much since I've got a mac for my computer...

1. Geneforge and I may splurge for Avernum 3 since it's OS X native now. These games are by a shareware company called spiderweb. The graphics are old school (read...too simple), but the stories and dialog are well done. They're also turn based...a rarity in today's world.

2. It's not an RPG, but I recently got Animal Crossing for Nintendo Gamecube and I must say it's awesome. Right now it's sucking up most of my time. It's cutesy and some of the dialog reads like it's made just for kids, but gameplay is a blast. It's a roleplaying sim. I say roleplaying because you can do what you want to within that world...no time tables, no linear story to follow. When I read the game box I was a bit hesitant because the premise was so simple, but based on reviews, I bought it anyway. The reviews were right...the game is a gem.

So...that's it...just two games right now. Maybe the mac will get NWN sometime this century. Until then, I'll probably have scrounge far and wide to find RPGs (that aren't just combat/strategy focused) for my playstation 2 and gamecube.

Animal Crossings look soooo cool! But of course since that would be the only game I'd play on game cube it wouldn't be feasable for me to buy a game cube for just that game. But to answer the question of this topic I'm playing Gothic right now and Morrowind sorta....

I've just started the Avernum 3 demo. Old school graphics they may be, but the game is holy crap addicting. It's extremely well written, with awesome story, and awesome game play (turn-based fabulousness). I haven't played a game so addicticting since Anachronox (which has gots to be the best PC game of all time, IMHO). I seriously recommend running to www.spidweb.com and downloading the demo, if you haven't already. Some reviewer or other compared it to like reading a really good book, and good lord is this one a page-turner.

Well, since Dungeon Siege won't run on my comp for some reason, I reverted back to playing BG2. I just got SS2 and should give it a try, since I've heard so much about it.
