I just got me a crossbow in Chapter 2, but can't seem to find the Militia crossbow trainer.
Anybody know where he can be found? I can't find him around the barracks.

When you go into the drill square from the main enterance take a right (not into the smithy though.) Then take a left

i had the same problem, i found the guy and he said he can teach me to use a crossbow but i dont get the option for it |

There is also a crossbow trainer in the valley of mines. He can be found close to the place where you enter the castle.  |

Have you tried the trainer living in front of the Tavern, outside the city? he can train you regardless of your guild.

I've been to the tavern a couple of times, but I dont recall seeing him outside.
Possibly because I had my distance set too close in options though. (Price you have to pay, if you play high detail I guess!)
I'll be going to the tavern for that beer contest soon, so I'll keep an eye open for him on the way up.

With your back at the Tavern entrace simply go forward: there are some scavengers to kill and then you will find a small camp with a guy sitting there. He is the trainer.

You have to be in the Militia for him to train you.
