Just came back from the G3 sound track recordings :)

I just wanted to let you know that I visited a PB / Koch Media event featuring the sound track recordings today. The sound track will be huge!
I found out some interesting new details about the game. More tomorrow.

Homework for today: Watch Shrek, Sleepy Hollow or Passion of Christ and listen to the Matrix Reloaded sound track.

Brilliant! Is the music as good as in the previous games? KaiRo working together with an orchestra has a very good potential considering the good music in G1-2, so let us know every last detail you managed to pick up!

Good luck with your monitor.

I read the article, very interesting, and if you have any more goodies it's more than worth the wait! Take your time, fix your monitor, and then let us know what you learned at the recordings. I'm really looking forward to it!

WoG posted more articles and 20 artworks they shot at a pinboard at the event. Worth checking out.

Music:
-played by the Bochum Philharmonic Orchestra (Grammy nomination ~2004)
-energetic japanese drums by Gocoo (action scenes in Matrix 2 & 3)
-additional background vocals by Lisbeth Scott (Shrek 1 & 2, Passion of Christ, Sleepy Hollow, and many more)
-additional music by 2 guys from Eastern Europe whose names Iīve forgotten for now.
-soundtrack CD will be released before the game.

Game:
-MUCH more freedom for the player
-still no loading breaks ("Loading breaks? [...] We donīt do shit like this!"]
-the animations are looking very good
-combat controls inspired by Splinter Cell -> 3rd person, very close to the action.
-skills are no longer scaled in percent. You invest skill points into precisely defined bonuses, for example "plus 10% damage against Undead". There may be requirements, but if you fulfill them itīs either yes or no, nothing in between.

More in the article.

I didn't know that Bochum has such a famous orchestra. That sounds a little bit like overkill what they do with the music. But one of my favourite games of the past outcast also had great music played by the moskow symphonie orchestra so that's a good thing and i can't wait to hear it.

One good thing i know is that their are no 'loading breaks'. Those breaks were one of the reasons i didn't continue TES III Morrowind. It is really annoying, if you go one step to the right of your area, it loads the new one. Then when you go left again it loads the left one, egh ..

Is the article already near? I can't wait.

Btw did everybody check out the artworks, there are some very fine ones of the female characters.

Check out this one:

Could it be the new hero?? He looks great with the long hair, we'll keep speculating on that, I guess.

This has probably been asked by a few people already, I just havent been to the forums in a while....

Is the music still being composed by the same person who did G1 and G2? I really like the music in the first 2 and hope that it remains somewhat similar...
