Anyone done the Dreamworld Quest? I seem to be stuck or confused or both.

Yep, please throw in a bit more specific question and I'll try to help. I suppose you are in the Dreamworld already?

there are 4 doors each leading to a different test, two of the doors are easily found and 2 are on a lower floor, the test of perceptions is basically getting to the ball without falling off it's a series of really narrow passages and some traps, the test of courage involves killing two mintours (for me at least) I just zapped them with the staff , two other quest which I don't seem to recall but if you detail it abit I'm sure it will come to me.

Yes. You just do the four tests. And if you are a lazy bugger like me then you can "cheat" on this one trial where you have to find a way around the traps. Just jump over the traps. The trap damage is way too low to kill you so you don't really have to figure out what that weird document is trying to tell you (it's obviously showing the path you need to take but it was late at night and I was too tired and lazy to figure it out so I just jumped and it worked ).

Before you go into the arena make sure you open up the "healing cabinet" next to the arena test door if you have a character who has trouble holding his own in battle.

I tried both the two tests on the upper floor and repeatedly got killed, especially by the test of patience where I couldn't understand the document either. At level 7 the traps killed me quickly. I got most of the way accross but then got blasted. Is this quest worth the time and trouble?

Tip: use the torch to see the traps on the twisted path so you can jump/go round them. On the patience test (not sure if this was called the patience test) the safe route is indicated by a line of similar rune alphabets on the scroll with three pictures of different size 'mazes' that you find in the beginning of the test.

I guess the reward is scaled on this quest, didn't get anything special at level 3.

The tests are pretty straight forward if I remember correctly...i did this one several levels ago. I think my character was lvl 15ish.

I killed the Minotaurs with the lightning staff.

Used the potions of water breathing to get through the swimming one.

Followed the trail of similar characters through the trapped pressure plates.

Did a lot of jumping to avoid the traps...it also helps to look up alot to pin point where they are...or as mentioned you can use the torch to help notice/avoid the triggers.

The reward for me was some spell scrolls...I dont think I've even used them yet...just shoved em in a cabinet in my characters house.

I thought this quest was really neat in general though. It was very creative and told an interesting story while illustrating some of the types of things you can accomplish with the scripting engine and the construction set.

Thanks, I finally figured out the traps map and completed the quest. It would have been easier if there was at least 1 healing potion available. I was nearly dead after killing the Minotaurs with the final swim still ahead of me. Glad I didn't meet any slaughterfish!!
