Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (PC / Xbox 360) - E3/GameStop DVD

The full Oblivion movie that was shown to E3 visitors earlier this year has apparently been sent to GameStop/EB employees as a DVD and subsequently leaked onto the internet. You can grab it in lo-res (320x180) from IGN <a href="http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/702/702493/vids_1.html" target="_blank">here</a> (4 parts, total 260Mb) or original <a href="http://files.filefront.com/Oblivion20minGameplayavi/;4201955;;/fileinfo.html" target="_blank">ISO torrent from Filefront</a> (1.33Gb). Thanks, <a href="http://ve3d.ign.com/" target="_blank">VoodooExtreme</a>.

Even better, go to the Oblivion forum here at Rpgdot and 120mb version is posted. It's the same quality of the DVD and 1/10th the file-size. The codec is also posted their!

I wasn't all that impressed, of course the game looks absolutely amazing, but the forests wasn't as alive as i had hoped and the fighting looked kind of stale.
And something i will hate about it is the fast-travel function, i'd rather they have some means of transportation instead like silt strider, boat, horse, wagon etc etc.

But i'd rather not be impressed now and be amazaed when i play it then the other way around, games almost never live up to the hype you build yourself.

true.

btw: the fast travel is an option, you dont need to do it that way. plain walking to a certain point is still possible. also there will be a horse (atleast i think there will... or was it gothic 3 ).

that forest on the video is made some time ago. the last few months the forest is being filled with extra stuff. ( i red that in a artical somewere).

You can buy a horse instead of fast-travelling..

Just think how much better this game would be if some of the graphic resources went into more/better features/gameplay.

Like - what?

Well, you could always wish for something better, but what I have seen from the video is stunning, to say at least. The world of Tamriel has become even more interactive (something that was a weak point in Morrowind - but hey, at that time it was about the maximum that could have been done), and that is something I really like.

Oblivion and Gothic 3 - what more could I ask for? *g*

More skills, skill options. A character creation better (not far worse) than Daggerfalls. Mounted combat. More quests. More decisions. More choices. Crossbows. More complexity (instead of simplification) Etc, etc.

Hell even: more books, more spells, more items, more everything.

More is better. I guess they could of added more graphics by having worse graphics, like more models and npcs, but I don't know much about that.

Graphics are pretty much lost on me. I think DL and Wiz 8 have great graphics but I guess I'm wrong. I can't see a big difference between hdtv and regular. I'd much rather watch a good movie than a clear, sharp imaged movie. I've always favored content over superficial pazaz. Have you seen doggville? Great movie, outlined set. No need for pazaz, since it had plenty of oomph.
