Thanks everyone!

Something happend on my birthday tho, that was quite weird, and I didnt want to say anything about it at the time. I cant say it was necessarily "tragic", since my grandfather had been ailing and suffering the absolute horror of alzheimers for close to a decade now, but he died on my B'day, March 25. His name was Peter, my middle name, given to me I guess since I was his first grandchild.

Since that time it's been bothering me, I dont know what to think, or if I should think anything at all of it. Going back to adventure and RPG games lately, I have some strange feeling like it's some sort of odd cosmic puzzle that I'm supposed to solve, or fate sending me a message. The easiest would be, simply that I am to suffer the same fate as he, which was as I said, quite horrible. Or perhaps the message was not for me at all, but for him. I had always thought that alzheimers was simply someone's memory just disappearing, thus I didnt understand how someone could die from it, but that's only one aspect of it. It literally destroys your brain.

It's just very odd and creepy, I dont know what to think about the significance of that date. Other than the obvious of course, but to admit that would be to confirm that there is a sentient force in the universe sending me a message, something I have been on the fence about for the last year or so. Actually far longer than that, but who doesnt ponder if there's something more than us, or it's all just a way to comfort ourselves in our final days. Ive pretty much become an agnostic, some days I see God in everything, and other days I wonder how I could be such a fool for thinking so.

Ah, whatever, I just wanted to type that.... it's just weird, and slightly disturbing

Sorry to hear it was both a sad and glad day. It's good at times like these to reflect on life and related issues. While I avoid posting on these things, Im always willing to discuss them. Have a great day!!

well, my mom always has a way of taking things I or my brother are worried, depressed, whatever, about and if not outright completely nuking it, she'll at least minimize and pick it apart to where it seems trivial.

I told her it was sortra freakin me out a bit, of all dates for him to die. In her usual candor she says "I think if it is anything 'cosmic' as you put it, then it was meant to be so youd always keep him close to you. You will always remember him on your birthday, and they are pleasant memories arent they?"

Uh, yeah... mama paws knocks it outta the park again

Thanks again y'all for the happy b'days!
