Not sure what to do next

I have a couple of quests in my journal, and am not really sure what to do next. I have to make an alliance with the Mook (and have no idea how to do that), I can kill the Rat Breeders for the Trinnies, but I suspect that will cost me the deal with the head rat, and if I wanted to hold up the bank I could do that (and would, if I thought I'd get away with it).

Other than that, I've just been wandering around gaining levels, but that gets a bit stale after a while.

Any pointers on what to do next?

Did you talk to Chief Gari or Madras while you were in Trynton? They told you to do the 7th Bough. That's probably next on your checklist.

As for the 3 quests that you've got:
Spoiler:
the Mook will make more sense later on
the Don has no ties to the Breeders, although his troops won't be happy
Arnika is surprisingly tolerant of bank robbers

Ah, that explains why I remember an incident in the bank from the last time I played.

Been to the 7th Bough. Don't know what to do there, but I would imagine it has something to do with a flower or that sign. I'm on my way back there anyway to shop at Fuzzfass' store. Maybe I'll complete those quests and recruit Fuzzy for my group - I seem to remember that I can do that (?) - it's all so hazy. Maybe that was somebody else.

It is someone else. The gadgeteer, if I remember correctly.

Vendors seem to not like being recruited...who would run the shop while they were gone?

Hah! Let me tell you, after a certain age, something you did five or six years ago can beome very "fuzzy" indeed. My recollection of this game was that I hadn't got very far into it, but as I continue on, I realize that I've done a lot of this before.

In the meantime I found the graveyard (which I had forgotten all about, as well).

Maybe I'll get to the end and realize I finished the game all those years ago.

Y'know, this reminds me of that time....

Actually, I am farther and farther into the game, and I am still finding places that I've already been, such as the Swamp, the Mines, Marten's Bluff, you name it, I've been there. In fact, I suspect that in my first go round, I completeley missed the Umpani, and got as far as Ascension Peak, realized that I had "the bug" and quit for something else. Now, around that time, what game would have come out that would have so completely diverted me? Whatever it was, it apparently wiped my memory completely!
